SIGNED MIYAO TSUKURU, MEIJI PERIOD
raised on tripod feet with twin handles moulded as interlocking dragons, the cover with gilt bands surmounted by an open winged eagle, the body with a kirin and phoenix amongst ruyi clouds set beneath two dragons to the neck, each foot with the head of a kirin, details in gilt and signed Miyao
- Good overall appearance
- One leg of the bird forming the finial is cracked at the middle
- Small areas of the mouth rim of the censer appear to have been strengthened or repaired, most likely however immediately after the casting of the piece
