Description: Colonial America
CT Revolutionary War Era Gooseneck Cooper's Broad Axe
c. 1770-1800s Colonial, Revolutionary War to Federal Period, Hand-forged Iron Gooseneck Style Cooper's Broad Axe, Said to be Connecticut-Made with Wood Handle, Choice Very Fine.

Unusual and rarely encountered early American Hand-forged gooseneck Cooper's Axe, having a 10" blacksmith forged iron head with a 23" wooden handle. Consignor identifies it as Connecticut-made, having come out of that state, there is no documentation. Gorgeous age patina on the axe head and to the handle. Intact and still useful as a working tool, perfect for any period display.
