Looking for the realised and estimated price?

Description: We are exceptionally proud to offer this ORIGINAL 155 year old United States / English import 3-band 1853 Tower Enfield with Bayonet. This long military rifle was used extensively in the Civil War in Union Brigades, due to its outstanding heavy construction and accuracy. Virtually all Enfields of the Civil War era, show excessive wear, but this example is in good antique condition making it quite rare. The stock is marked Moore & Harris, which was a fabled London, England maker of fine percussion shotguns, but who in ca. 1859, began a foray into musketry. Obviously, this 1861 Moors & Harris Stock was fitted to the Birmingham Rifle, to produce the best of the best, a ultra rare combination. This treasure features a proper 39" 3-grooved rifled barrel, likely in Caliber .577, and is complete with the 3 barrel bands, brass regulation joiner work, original sights, cap nipple, sling swivels, original ramrod, PLUS a RARE English slip on spike bayonet!! The lock is marked "Tower" with an 1861 date, and the VR Crown behind the hammer, denotes Queen Victoria Regina, validating its heritage. The left side of the barrel carries a Birmingham, England proof mark, designating the manufacturing region Bayonet 15". Gun approx 55 long.
