Description: This Desirable Extremely Rare Large Vintage Rustic Original Oil on Board, By Listed Artist, Harold Newton, an Original Highwaymen, is of an iconic Scenic Florida Landscape. This fantastic piece is full of color, and captures a picturesque Florida scene. The piece measures with frame approximately 26” x 33.25” and is signed on lower right. This piece is also additionally signed by brother, Sam Newton on the back, in 2004, authenticating his brother’s work. This rustic example of Mr. Newton’s art, is thought to pre-date his meeting of Albert Ernest “Beanie” Backus and resembling more of the palette knife techniques. The piece is in great condition with minor wear and signs of aging. This is a great opportunity to own a piece of Florida Americana Folk Art at its finest.
