Condition / Notes: This is the first edition of this work. This antique volume is bound in brown cloth covers with stamped gilt lettering on the spine. There is moderate rubbing, scuffing, and toning to the exterior. The binding is sound. The bookplate of the Glasgow University Library is affixed to the front pastedown. A large fold-out map, showing some moisture marking, is in a pocket at the front pastedown. The pages show mild age toning and occasional light marginal spotting/smudging.
