Description: China, Kangxi imperial and marked brush pot, decorated with cobalt blue depicting two scholars conversing in a rock garden by a lake; the body is made of very fine clay and is thin and translucent; the glaze is unctuous and very even, with trace greenish tint. Provenance: Dr. Robert I-San Lin’s Collection of Important Chinese Arts, brought to California in 1960s. Diameter 3 1/2 in., Height 4 1/2 in.
