Chinese Kang Xi Marked Dragon Vase:
Having the baluster body, bangqiuping, a rouleau form, tall cylindrical belly with straight neck to the banded flaring rim, raised on receded flat base. The exterior decorate in cobalt blue depicting a dragon and a flaming pearl in blue clouds over a stormy sea. The claws are extended and scales are defined. banded with geometrical ribbons on neck and rim. The glaze work stopping above the foot base, revealed the pale-creme unglazed foot rim with grayish and dark firing spots.
