Description: Here you have a Drake Merganser duck decoy from Chincoteague Island, probably made by Cigar Daisy made in the form that Miles Hancock would have made. This decoy came out of the Refuge Waterfowl Museum on Chincoteague Island. Cigar Daisy was the resident carver. John Maddox started the museum as a tribute to early waterfowl hunting and folk art on the Eastern shore of VA. This decoy has some missing paint but overall pretty nice, sporting tack eyes. Possibly made from telephone pole. 16" long 5 1/2" wide by 6 1/4" tall. One piece not hollow.
Dimensions: 16" X 5 1/2" X 6 1/4"
Artist or Maker: Cigar Daisy
