Description: Clocks- 7 (Seven): (1) Reproduction Nicholas Muller "Baseball Players" iron front shelf clock with a period spring driven 30 hour time and strike movement. (2) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Cottage shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time, strike and alarm movement in a veneered case, c1900. (3) Muller iron front clock (with no movement and with a new case). (4) Unmarked Round Top shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1890. (5) Daniel Pratt, Boston, Mass, shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1880, (6) New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., "No. 511" shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement in a darkly finished wood case, c1886. (7) Unmarked Iron Front shelf clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement, c1860.

Condition Report: (1) The reproduction iron front is cast from aluminum. The movement is period, as are the dial, hands and bezel. Ht. 16in. (2) The case finish is quite rough. The painted dial has losses at several areas. The hands are original. Ht. 14.5in. (3) Although the iron front is not marked as Muller, it is period and very closely resembles the "Globe" iron front shown on page 103 in Arlyn Rath's book on Nicholas Muller. Part of the top of the iron front is missing. Ht.19in. (4) The original finish is very dark. The dial has darkened with age. The movement is not signed. The hands are period. Ht, 17in. (5) The finish has darkened with age. The paper dial has darkened with age. The hands are original. Ht. 16.5in. (6) The original finish has darkened to the point that it is difficult to determine what type of wood veneer was used. The right base return is missing. The paper dial is replaced. The hands are period. Ht.18.5in. (7) There is loss of paint on the iron front. The paper dial is original and darkened with age. The hands are period. Ht. 18.5in.
