Choice March 9, 1754 North Carolina Thirty Shillings
North Carolina. March 9, 1754. Thirty Shillings. "House" vignette. Small edge tears; minor repair at top center. PCGS graded Extremely Fine-45.
Fr. NC-81. This superior quality, bright clean note is next to highest denomination of this issue. Only 4,000 notes were issued, having been well made off of engraved copper plates. The beautifully designed and highly intricate indent at the left is nearly complete and far larger in its details than normally seen. Holder reads, apparent, small edge tears; minor repair at top center. (A small closed edge split at the top centerfold.) This is a very nice quality, well printed example. The blank reverse is completely clean, free of any detractions.
