New Jersey Currency
April 12, 1757 One of Only 500 Notes Three Pounds Issued on New Jersey with a Colorful RED Printed Face
New Jersey. April 12, 1757. Three Pounds. RED Printed Face. Plate B. Very Good/Fine.
Fr. NJ-103. A very rare example of this 1757 date French and Indian War period Three Pound denomination. Its face side is printed in solid Red. The text is evenly worn with some overall conservation and the black printed reverse side is quite a bit sharper. In our EAHA Auction of April 2005 we sold Lot 746 graded Very Fine for just over $2,000. An very acceptable, rather affordable example of this rare and colorful New Jersey note.
