Description: This is a massive dragon vase of Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). This is decorated with a lively dragon. The cobalt blue was imported from Iran. Heaps and piling effect are the landmarks of this Yuan Vase. It has two elephant shape handles. The Percival David Foundation has a similar pair like this called David vase and being exhibited at the British Museum. This piece is very similar to that of Percival David's Collection now housed in British Museum. Provenance: Collection of a Scholar in Chicago who acquired this in 1960s. This is indeed a Yuan Dynasty treasure.
