Description: Colonial America
18th Century Colonial Treen Salt and Pepper Shaker Pair
c. 18th Century Colonial Period, Impressive Matching Pair of Decorative Treen Salt and Pepper Shakers in Wood, Choice Extremely Fine.
This very rare Paired Set of Salt & Pepper Shakers beautifully hand-crafted in wood with decorative turned devices. Most of the time you will only see shakers of this form crafted in metal. This pair is lathe-turned, standing about 5.5" tall. The bottom base on one has a fine internal split that has been conserved and not really visible displayed upon a shelf. A few additional scuffs in the finish for light use, otherwise in overall lovely condition. These gorgeously crafted matched wooden shakers are perfect for display in any Colonial period collection.
