This Dodge Diplomat, as a police vehicle, was delivered new with an enhanced engine to a Fire Department in Pennsylvania and served as the 'Fire Chief's' vehicle in the early 80's. Certainly unique in Germany. After being decommissioned, the vehicle spent a long time in a Fire Department vehicle collection in Texas and is now only recently in Germany.
The vehicle was delivered from the factory with a 318 V8 with 360 cylinder heads and also has a 727 Chrysler heavy duty automatic gearbox. The vehicle and all installations, including radio, warning lights and sirens are completely original. In the past years it was used in filming. In early spring the vehicle received a full report, including the H-certification (Historic), so that the vehicle is now registered in Germany as an Oldtimer.
2,500 € were invested in preparation for the technical inspection and full reports, for example new tires, brake pads, filter, service, carburettor etc. In addition, an easy-to-install cover for the signal system on the roof was made of car upholstery, as the car is only allowed to drive on public streets with the signal equipment covered.
Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
