Description: [Dodgson (Charles Lutwidge)] "Lewis Carroll". Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There, first edition, first issue with 'wade' for 'wabe' on p.21, half-title, 50 illustrations by John Tenniel, tissue-guard to title, ink ownership inscription to half-title, original red cloth, stamped in gilt, spine slightly darkened, spine ends and corners a little bumped, minor fraying to lower joint, stain to upper cover, light rubbing and marking, still very good overall, 8vo, 1872.
