Description: 7¼-inch enamel dial with gilt rococo spandrels, concentric date, signed Eardley Norton, London, enamel alarm dial in the arch, the substantial three train fusee movement anchor escapement, striking and alarm on bell, trip repeat quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells, the foliate engraved backplate signed as the dial and numbered 1401, the case with bell top and flambeau finials above brass side handles and floral caryatid corner mounts, on foliate scroll feet
Dial has chips to winding holes and below VI but otherwise good. Movement is complete and just running at time of cataloguing but would very much benefit from a clean and fresh oil. Case has been restored, scrolls to top finial replaced, mounts re-gilded, veneers re-polished and in good clean condition. With pendulum, winder and case key.
