Description: Egypt, Late Dynasty, 26th to 30th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 343 BCE. A finely cast solid bronze standing mummiform Osiris - god of the afterlife as well as deity of transition, regeneration, and resurrection - wearing the double matt ostrich feather crown with central sun disc and uraeus serpent and a pharoah's beard - proudly holding the symblic royal crook and flail in his hands. Scattered blue green patina with red-brown oxide ground, this coloring a wonderful tribute as Osiris was classically depicted as a green-skinned man. Expertly cast with superb extant details and all of Osiris' attributes. Stunning patina! Block mount. Size: 1.375" W x 4.5" H (3.5 cm x 11.4 cm); 5.375" H (13.7 cm) on mount
