Condition / Notes: This antique volume is the scarce first edition of Elliott Merrick's first book. The volume is bound in blue cloth, with silver lettering on the front cover and spine. The volume shows mild external wear, with faded areas to the covers and spine. The binding is firm, and the volume is adorned with pictorial endpapers, displaying a map of Quebec. A previous owner's signature appears at the very bottom of the front flyleaf, and a small bookplate appears at the bottom of the rear paste-down. The work is internally clean and bright. The scarce dust jacket is present, preserved in mylar, with only light toning, a few spots of soiling, and edge wear, with very slight loss to the head of the spine panel.
