Description: In Art Déco style, an elaborately crafted box of crocodile skin with brass lock (the key missing). Lined with brown velvet, the case was used to store Eva Braun's jewellery and gives evidence of her sense of luxury, a very expensive accessory for the time, and probably - like her jewellery - a gift from Hitler. The case comes from Eva Braun's apartment in Wasserburger Landstr. 12 and was taken by her sister Gretl. Signs of usage and age. Dimensions 29 x 20 x 8 cm. Margarete "Gretl" Braun married Hermann Fegelein on 3 June 1944, and Kurt Berlinghoff on 6 February 1954. With a confirmation of son Rainer Berlinghoff. This case is equivalent to lot 4062 of auction 63. Attention – shipping to non-EU countries subject to CITES regulations
