FINE FAMILLE ROSE GRISAILLE-DECORATED 'WINTER LANDSCAPE' PLAQUE
YU WENXIANG (1910-1993), 1938
of rectangular shape, decorated in a painterly technique in grisaille and shades of iron-red, yellow and blue with Liang's garden (Liang Yuan) with its elaborate structure of lakefront pavilions connected by bridges and colonnades, all covered in snow, inscribed with a poem, signed Yu Wenxiang, with two seals of the artist, dated the 27th year of the Republic period (corresponding to 1938)

- Good overall codition with just a few nicks to the edges on the reverse side. These are however no visible on the front side.
