Description: First World War casualty group of four, to include 1914-15 Star, War medal and Victory medal, Death Plaque, (GS-17877 PTE J.WILKIN. R.FUS:) together with the facsimile letter and two photographs. John Wilkin was born in Lambeth and enlisted in Southwark in 1915, September of that year proceeding to the Western Front, he was in action in the Battle of Loos and at various other engagements, he died during the Battle of the Somme, he is remembered at Thiepval Memorial, Somme France and at Stockwell War Memorial,
