A.O.C.) together with badges, two Prisoner of War badges with the impressed text Aushebungsbezick Neustrelitz, and punctual attendance medals, William David Hawkes was a Private in the Royal Army Ordnance Corp and then the Royal Irish Fusiliers, he was fighting in France 1 year 10 months and a Prisoner of War 10 months
