Description: Chinese silk Kesi panel slit tapestry, of 19th c. Finely decorated with metallic threads showing front facing imperial golden dragon borne over LiShui cresting wavy water and rocky mountain amidst scrolling clouds and flames, two character lettering on upper panel in array three smaller dragons, all reserved against pale-red silk ground. The tapestry has a smooth surface and appears exactly the same on the front and back. All sets within newer royal blue matted border and dark brown color frame.
