Condition / Notes: This antique volume is bound in brown cloth, with blind-stamped border and gilt pictorial design to the front cover, blind-stamped ornamentation to the rear cover, and faded gilt lettering and decoration to the spine. The volume displays external wear, with fraying at the spine extremities and faint spotting. The front hinge is beginning to crack, and the text block displays a crack between pages 174 and 175. The pages are secure. This work is adorned with a tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Joseph Meek, as well as numerous plates and textual illustrations, depicting scenes of hunting and trapping, many with Native Americans.
