FRENCH NEOCLASSICAL PARCEL-GILT BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK Mid-19th Century
Dial with enameled Roman numerals and visible jeweled Brocot escapement. Case cast as a classical woman seated on a rocky outcropping with a lyre at her feet and one arm supported by a column. Plinth base applied with scrolling foliage. Four ball feet. Unmarked. Height 18.5". Width 15.5".
Not guaranteed to be in running order. Lacking pendulum and key. Numbers crudely engraved on back of base.
The clock is bronze and gilt bronze
Clock appears to run when simulating a pendulum
Strick works on the 1/2 hour and the hour strike works but is off 4 strikes on 7:00
