Description: FRENCH PORCELAIN OWL FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, brown ground, standing on a circular base with embossed branch and leaves, underside stamped "DEPOSE" and impressed "2 / 44", yellow glass eyes, period collar. Fitted with a period burner, colorless chimney.

Condition Report: Undamaged lamp. Burner deflector with some light denting, shade holder arms soldered to air draft.

Provenance: Collection of Helen A. Feltner, Winchester, VA.

Dimensions: 7 3/4" H to top of collar, 4 1/4" x 4 5/8" base.

Exhibited: Base as Hulsebus - Miniature Lamps of the Victorian Era, p. 108, fig. 227.

Medium: Fourth quarter 19th century.
