Description: This whistle was inside the box of G G Green misc items, it is a direct consignment from a Great Grand daughter of Col. G G Green and was handed down thru the family. It is a silver Acme Whistle, on the front top it reads. THE ACME THUNDERER & R.C.T, On one side it has G G Greens mark of a capital G extended with 2 lines thru it, on the other side it reads. FOX LEDGE SPARTA NJ. And on the bottom of the whistle it reads. HUDSONS PATENT. It does still work and appears to be very thick silver plate. Please note that the Greens were hunters, had dogs and likely used this whistle in training or controlling their dogs. It is a very nice historical piece bid accordingly. Thank you.
