Description: GEORGE L.G. COOK (1819-1902)
African American group with an ox-drawn cart, two dogs, and chickens. Albumen print, the image measuring 4 3/4x8 1/8 inches (10.8x20.6 cm.), the mount slightly larger, with Cook's Charleston, S.C. imprint, and a Cook Collection, Valentine Museum hand stamp, with later notations (indicating the print is a duplicate), in pencil, on mount verso. Circa 1875
