Male Nude in Cartouche. Silver print, the image measuring 8x9 7/8 inches (20.3x25.1 cm.), with an inventory number in the negative. 1954

Notes: From Glenway Wescott; to John Stevenson, in 1978-79.

Lynes' lifelong relationship with Wescott is the subject of When We Were Three, Travel Albums of George Platt Lynes, Monroe Wheeler and Glenway Westcott 1925-1935 (Pohorilenko and Crump, Arena Editions, 1998) and many other books.
