GEORGE WESTINGHOUSE, American entrepreneur and inventor. Rival of Thomas Edison.
September 2, 1872-Dated, Partially-Printed Document Check Signed, "G. Westinghouse," 7.75" x 2.75", Choice Extremely Fine. This colorful Check is drawn on the Mohawk National Bank, Schenectady, N.Y., Engrossed and Signed by Westinghouse, in the amount of $21. Also bears a 2-cent Internal Revenue stamp, initialed and date cancelled. A circular cut or punch cancellation mark appears to be in the check's center, not impacting signature. Another illegible name appears to be signed below Westinghouse. Otherwise, this bold blue printed Check appears in very nice condition.
