Condition / Notes: This antique volume is bound in green cloth with extravagant gilt and black-stamped decoration and pictorial designs. The rear cover displays rubbing, and slight wear is visible at the foot of the spine. The front hinge shows wear at the foot of the spine, but the binding is otherwise sound. All edges of the text block are gilt, with a few faint moisture markings. The volume is adorned with decorative endpapers. The interior displays mild occasional foxing, and is otherwise clean and bright. This work is profusely illustrated with textual and full-page images, depicting portraits of antique electrical devices, such as light bulbs, telephones, and x-rays, as well as portraits of inventors and scientists.
