Description: GERMAN PORCELAIN BASKET AND CHERUBS FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, ball-form font depicting a basket in white ground and supported by three cherubs, each with naturalistic decoration, supported by a circular base in earth-tones and with applied rose sprays, underside impressed "141" and with maker's mark, opaque white ball-form shade with polychrome floral decoration, period No. 1 collar. Fitted with a Challenge burner. C. G. Scherholz & Son.

Condition Report: Very good condition, expected flakes and minor losses to applied flowers, minor wear to decoration, shade with normal roughness to rims, as made. Burner with repairs and alterations.

Provenance: Collection of Helen A. Feltner, Winchester, VA.

Dimensions: 13 1/4" H to top of shade, 6 1/2" H to top of collar, 5" D base.

Medium: Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century.
