Description: GERMAN PORCELAIN MONKEY FIGURAL MINIATURE LAMP, brown ground with naturalistic facial features, in sitting position holding a bunch of bananas and smiling, earth-tone base depicting a rock formation, underside impressed "Rd 3339 / PS / L / 43", brown glass eyes, opaque white umbrella-form shade, period collar. Fitted with a Hugo Schneider, Leipzig burner, colorless chimney.

Condition Report: Undamaged lamp and shade. Burner with a light dent to air draft, shade ring with denting and a split, chimney fitter with normal roughness.

Provenance: Collection of Helen A. Feltner, Winchester, VA.

Dimensions: 13 1/2" H to top of shade, 5 3/4" H to top of collar, 4 1/4" D base.

Medium: Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century.
