Eight-day manual wind, designed as a carriage lantern with a horseshoe-shaped base, centering a sunken rectangular-shaped gold-tone dial with black Roman numerals, composed of polished gilt-brass and gunmetal steel, the rotating top with beveled smoked mirror sides and hinged back door, dial signed Hermes, Paris, circa 1950-1960. 10 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.
