circa 1835, with expertly re-browned 32in. twist iron barrels, the top-rib signed ''H. W. MORTIMER, LONDON'' with engraving to rib at breech end together with twin platinum lines, carved fences forward of the nipples, fully borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed ''H. W. MORTIMER, slab-sided en-suite hammers, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, clipped corner rectangular silver vacant escutcheon behind the top-tang, iron heel-plate with engraved top-spur, engraved lower tang and trigger-guard bow, pineapple finial and under-barrel ram-rod; TOGETHER WITH a walnut storage case almost certainly original to this gun, the interior compartmented and lined in green baize (some restoration) and complete with a full complement of accessories including a powder and shot flask, two turn-screws and a nipple key, adjustable measure, patch pot, nipple pot and a later three piece cleaning rod
