Description: Harry Makepeace Football League representative medal 1909-10, 15ct. gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, ENGLAND v SCOTLAND, THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE v SCOTTISH LEAGUE, FEB. 26th 1910, H.MAKEPEACE Harry Makepeace represented England in both football and cricket Makepeace signed for Everton in 1902 and played in the Club's first ever FA Cup winning side four years laterThe wing-half made 336 appearances for the Blues, scoring 23 goals. He won three caps for the England national football team and he also played in four tests for the England cricket team. His finest performance scoring 117 against Australia in Melbourne. This medal relates to the Inter-League match when the Scottish League defeated the Football League 3-2 at Ewood Park. Provenance: Bought at Christie's
