Description: HARVARD-TYPE "BIRD" SINGLE-ARM KEROSENE STAND LAMP, lamp-form with figural bird handle with a floral design to the body, waisted stem to a large circular foot, applied bronze finish. Fitted with a period gallery and shade ring, electrified. Topped with a frosted and acid-etched ball-form shade, period and signed "MACBETH" slip chimney. Probably European.

Condition Report: Virtually undamaged with a drilled hole in the base for electrification, small casting imperfection to the stem, typical minute roughness to the shade fitter.

Provenance: Property of Bill and Karen Webb.

Dimensions: 17 3/4" HOA, 12 1/4" H to top of the socket, 7" D base, 7" H shade.

Medium: Fourth quarter 19th century.
