Description: HEGENITIUS, G. Itinerarium Frisio-Hollandicum, et ABR. ORTELII Itinerarium Gallo-Brabanticum. In quibus quæ visu, quæ lectu digna. Leiden, 1630. 343, (9) pp. 18°(!). Cont. vellum w. overl. sides. (Lower blank margin of ti.-p. removed and replaced). Attractive small booklet in good condition containing two 'tours' through Holland, one by Gottfried Hegenitz (±1596-after 1646) who on his journey took a curious interest in epitaphs as becomes evident from the text; the other by Abraham Ortelius (1527-98), the famous cartographer and maker of the first atlas. Hegenitz' account was printed for the first time in this edition. Fine copy. - Willems, 330; NNBW VIII, 736.
