Printed in red and black. Illustrated with a profusion of intaglio plates in 3 states (India paper, Japan vellum, and Papier de Chine), lettered tissue guards. 8vo, original full tan levant morocco by Barrie, paneled in gilt, spines gilt in compartments with rosette onlays, all edges gilt, minor rubbing to a few raised bands; elaborate inlaid art nouveau style doublures, watered silk endpapers; felt-lined morocco-edged slipcases, tips rubbed. Philadelphia: George Barrie & Son, 1900

Notes: one of only ten sets of the commemorative edition, initialed by the publisher and "especially prepared and bound for Mrs. Alice S. Timayenis in our own ateliers."
