Stuttgart, Eggert, 1957/58. Unpaginiert. 29,5 x 20,5 cm. Original-Halbleinenband mit farbig illustriertem Deckeltitel und Rückentitel (leicht berieben, Vorderdeckel etwas angestaubt).
Achalm-Druck 1. - Erste Ausgabe. - Eins von 1000 Exemplaren. - Spindler 119, 16 - Fürst I, 57, 14-19 - Fichter/Bartelke 155. - Aufwändig gestalteter Druck zum Gedenken an den holländischen Drucker, Graphiker und Typographen Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman (1882 - 1945), der 1923 mit der Gründung des Magazins "The Next Call" zu einer treibenden Kraft der niederländischen Avantgarde wurde. Während der deutschen Besatzung im Widerstand aktiv - u.a. mit den Kleindrucken "De Blauwe Schuit" -, wurde er 1945 erschossen. - Die von Grieshaber initiierte, aus drei Teilen bestehende Hommage enthält in der ersten Abteilung Texte und 11 farbig gedruckte Reproduktionen aus der Heftsammlung "De Blauwe Schuit" auf verschiedenen, teilweise farbigen Papieren in unterschiedlichen Größen. Als Trennblätter zwischen den Drucken dienen braune, mit dem Photo eines deutschen Besatzungssoldaten bedruckte Transparentpapiere. Der zweite Teil enthält Texte und künstlerische Originalbeiträge von F. R. A. Henkels, W. Sandberg, K. Martin, HAP Grieshaber, H. L. Greve, R. Gregor, H. Schwöbel, E. Kiess, R. Ubac, H. Antes u. a. Den dritten Teil bildet eine Auswahl von Briefen Werkmans aus den Jahren 1940-45, zusammengestellt von J. van Loenen Martinet. - Innen sauberes, sehr gutes Exemplar.
