Prima edizione del resoconto della prima ascensione dell'Everest effettuata dalla spedizione inglese, guidata da John Hunt. Esemplare con doppia firma dell'Autore e dedica. John Hunt fu presidente dell' Alpine Club dal 1956 al 1958 ed è considerato un'icona dell'alpinismo inglese post-bellico. Neathe H, 135. 8° (220x145 mm). Copy signed by the Author on title page. On the front flyleaf, authograph of the Author, dated 16 September 1981: 'In expression of my admiration for the work by OXFAM and with good wishes for your help in meeting the many calls on your resorces'. First edition of the account of the first ascent of Everest carried out by the British expedition led by John Hunt. Copy with double signature by the Author and dedication. John Hunt was president of the Alpine Club in 1956 and 1958 and is considerer an icon of the English mountaineering post-war. Neathe H, 135.
