India, Andhra Pradesh state, Kondapalli (west central), ca. 1960s. A group of four papier mache human figures: a woman with a backpack, a man dressed as a hermit ascetic, a man bearing a box on his head, and a woman carrying a yellow jug. Bases are wooden and some are stamped "Made in India". Size of one: 2.6" L x 2.75" W x 5.9" H (6.6 cm x 7 cm x 15 cm)
Provenance: ex-Morgan Collection, Santa Monica, CA.
