Description: Insignia for Order of Knighthood awarded to Sir Frederick Wall, Secretary of the Football Association, silver-gilt & enamel, in original case of issue; sold together with the Diploma of Knighthood, framed & glazed, 44 by 36cm.; and also a photographic plate of F.J. Wall circa 1909 (3) Wall became Secretary of the Football Association, a position he held from 1895 to 1934. He was knighted in the 1930 in the New Year's Honours List. After retiring as FA Secretary, he was a director of Arsenal FC from 1934 to 1938.
