Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was competed on 17th November 1879, for an ''Emile Levita''.
Emile Levita was great great grandfather of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron. Emile was a German Jewish financier who emigrated from Germany to Britain over 150 years ago, and obtained British citizenship in 1871. He was the director of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China (later Standard Chartered Bank)
