Description: The scholar brush having a pear shape gilt bronze cloisonne enamel ferrule, round heel holding the fine bristle with flat toe. The ferulle decorated in cloisonne works with red floral bloom and its scrolling tendril against turquoise-blue enameled ground, banded on the both ends with gilt rings. The finely polished straight cylindrical white jade handle terminating a carved olive-green chilong dragon mask, with a scrolling motif gilt band compromising the head.
