Description: Jeromes' & Darrow Transitional Shelf Clock, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1830. Half column and splat stenciled case with pinapple finiels, very nice leaves stenciling, gold gilt painted wooden dial, reverse painted tablet (has cracks), claw feet. Very nice label "Improved Clocks Manufactured by Jeromes' & Darrow, Bristol, Conn.". Wooden works, weight driven, pendulum, measures approx. 29" tall x 17" wide x 5 1/2" deep. Has hand written note on back of lower tablet.
