Description: Jim Cassidy Bolton Wanderers F.A. Cup runners-up medal 1893-94, 9ct. gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, J. CASSIDY, 1893-4, BOLTON WANDERERS Jim Cassidy was born in Kilmarnock 2nd December 1869. Having played for his home town club and at Glasgow Hibernian he joined Bolton Wanderers in 1889. The centre-forward scored 101 goals in 219 appearances and once famously scored 5 goals during a Bolton Wanderers 13-0 rout of Sheffield United in a F.A. Cup tie in 1890. In the 1894 F.A. Cup Final Cassidy scored Wanderers's consolation goal in the 4-1 defeat to Notts County.
