The Japanese squirrel, called risu, is a unique art and similar to the dormouse and has also other descriptions. The three-dimensional depiction presents it here in masterful, spirited carving, standing erect with front paws raised, compactly carved fur and colored black, the inlaid eyes shiny black, big bushy tail. In front of risu are several round fruits. The cord channel is "naturally" placed, the signature KO-GETSU 湖 月 in abbreviated, sosho on the animal´s buttocks.
