Second Edition, Corrected and Improved. 2 vol. in 8vo. xxxiv, [2], 544; viii, 532 pp + 18 engraved plates (including folding map frontis) approximately half of which are hand-colored and others sepia-toned (Complete as per the directions to the binder leaf.) Bound in period diced calf boards, with plain rebacking, boards dry with scuffs and loss at edges/corners. Frontis map with a few closed tears and tape repairs, some off-setting from plates, one leaf with small archival tape repair (see photo), some occasional small stains in places throughout, overall Very Good. ********************************** Second edition, printed after the first of 1810. Lambert provides an intimate picture of the St. Lawrence Valley as well as New York, New England, and the South. Provenance: Later bookplates to blank endpapers of second volume, of A.
