Description: Artist: HENRI DE TOULOUSE-LAUTREC (1864-1901) Size: 12 3/4 x 17 1/4 in./32.4 x 41.2 cm "This menu was designed for a great carousal on December 22, 1896, probably another stag party this time, no doubt, that of Georges Lasseree, who is shown on the right with a beauty on his arm [he's the corpulent diner we see in the famous Reine de Joie poster]. Gabriel Tapié de Celeyran and Maurice Guibert can be seen on the other side of the table (Adriani, p.264). Wittrock calls it "extremely rare and Adriani indicates that the image in the Chicago Art Institute is the only known copy. So this specimen is unknown to either expert.
